you should really look at doing fit/sales on same day as it keeps your app to diary figures down, keeps the app warm and makes it easier to convert.

Actually Motters ... I haven't been a great fan of mixed Sales/Fitting dates.
I hate those days when you have a really dusty fitting from drilling into concrete & then having to go & sell afterwards when you are covered in dust.
I've found over the years that certain days are nearly always busy selling days e.g. Mondays & Tuesdays but find it goes quieter towards the end of the week so tend to capitalise on these days.
This isn't to say I don't rule out 'mixed bag' days but it does help to focus on one aspect of the job at any one time!!!

Since about 8 0r 9 years ago always done fitting days and selling days separately. makes me more efficient, especially when having to carry 3 tonne of spares. My mind is set for fitting all day, and evening, when i fit, and same applies when I sell. Did mix it the other day. went to a sale, with concrete dust and steel filings running down my back, looked like a window fitter, trying to flog blinds, instead of an advisor trying to sell 'em.....worked brill for me as i say

I do agree on some points there.
By using a dust catcher on the drill hardly any dust on me or anywhere else !
It does allow you to keep to mind on the sales if you are just doing them that day.
But I like the variety mixed days give you.
Dor's, fits are easier to slip in when you are fitting in with customer if you have any day for them to choose from.
But we all work in our own way.
As it is, when I first went f/t I had mon/tues as sales days and the rest for fittings. Sales booked by the local shop, but if oftern ended with gaps or passing by houses I would be fitting later in the week.
Each to their own !!!

Seperate sell and fit days. Works fine for me as long as HO keep the appointments coming. My Sam fittings are all booked into the same 1 hour time slot on my fitting day. Then when the blinds arrive sort out my own fittings. lf things get quiet l can get my fittings into certain days giving me a day off if required rather than having bits and pieces off. Some times l give HO the extra availability but they never do a great deal with it even if they have plenty of notice.

My diary has been fuller than any time in the last two years. for the past 3 or 4 weeks every slot has been full giving me very little slack time. Not complaining, but it would be nice to have a rest now and then Dont brag, Phugly, If you are busier than ever, bully for you, but as the next posting says you are away for 2 weeks to sun your botty, leads won't get serviced and at least 2 new agents will be on the patch when you get back. That is thinking positive--The Hillarys Way!!!! Enjoy it anyway Dodgybrcket

Fitted 3 rollers on new estate ystdy--450 houses on the estate, and owner confirmed they NEVER get leaflet drop, and never get local rag weekly paper. Estate has been fully sold for over 2 years now. I got the lead passed to me by previous customer and workmate of the punter I was fitting.
Grandson will be dropping this estate at weekend with all that dusty old box of 4 yr old Hillary " Fit 5 across the street and 5 doors either side " cards we got given.
HERETICUS & HILLARYS---- maybe Hillarys should look at the effectiveness of their dropping companies if they miss such huge estates on a city edge for 2 years. Dont expect the kids who drop the leaflets and papers to tell the companies, they just drop where they are told..
Its called joined up thinking lads...

Dodgybracket Loads of new estates springing up around my area. We do not target these houses as they do not go on the post code list until 2 years after the last house is occupied, so do not get freebie newspapers and other local companies know this so they target them heavily by paying someone to leaflet drop. I did a leaflet drop once myself. Spent two days dropping leaflets in to doors. Big mistake. Leaflets had 0800 number on them and a few months later found out that a few people had ordered via the leaflets but Hillary's sent another adviser. Dhuuuu, stupid of me or what, but to put your number on every leaflet, and I am talking of around 2000 would have taken me another two days. Never again. Red

I am having to drop it and sell the leads because you didn't drop it in the first place so that I could go and sell the leads. Still with me? Incidentally I have overstamped the Hillarys phone number with my mobile number for this drop--just to see what the "real response" will be. Perhaps I also overstanmped them so that none of you b****s will get a sniff at an enquiry I generated after grandson dropped the estate!! Nonails

;)been quite quiet last week, so thought i'd mystery shop clg to see whether my postcodes were correct or if neighbouring agents were taking my postcodes etc. now i hope you are all sitting down to read this and don't have a hot drink in your hand, but........................ i was told that 'the next appt. with the [glow=red,2,300][/glow] same advisor[glow=red,2,300][/glow]i'd previously had would be.......' so cynics amongst us be prepared, perhaps changes are happening just no fanfares involved.
