I've had a new advisor (started feb) put on some of my postcodes without being told. Last year also 2 current advisor's also put on some of my postcodes without being told. Lost an advisor who covered same postcodes last year so not complaining that A advisor been added but it is getting crowded with 3 being added all covering some or all the postcodes I cover. What I think is very bad is no discussion and the secrecy over it all. Why not be open and discuss availability issues before adding advisors ?? ...and if you think on a bit, even if Hillarys broke the Company Rule and actually told you before setting a second or third agent on your patch would it make any difference?? Telling you either before or after the setting-on of the new agent is , to Hillarys FSM a waste of both time and breath. Why start an argument now when one will start anyway.? They only want leads covering, WITH SPARE CAPACITY, In order to ensure that they have spare Agents on the area to handle any upsurge in leads then thats fine for them. The fact that it dilutes your business doesn't matter a fig to Hillarys. We are simply tools to do a job. How many of us carry a spare screw-driver?? All of us I guess, Why , in case we lose/break or get the first one nicked--thats why! Hillarys agent in the eyes of Hillarys = A Tool!! Just because you are a living breathing caring human cuts no ice with gimlet eyed sad little men in over-priced suits in Colwick. Tell me otherwise and I'll say you are a liar with no proof otherwise. If they cared they could refund the STOLEN COMMISSION TAKEN AT CHRISTMAS WHEN THEY MESSED DELIVERIES AND GAVE HUGE DISCOUNTS. Have they done that? have they b******s, Will they do it, will they b******s... Thats prooof of how much you are valued. Bear

If you think 2 or 3 Advisors is bad then try this for size!.....
When I started 8 years ago I had replaced one Advisor. I found very soon they had recruited another. By the 3rd year with Hillarys I had proof of seven ( YES SEVEN!!!!! ) Advisors trying to take business out of this area.
You would not believe some of the things some of these guy's get up to with the customers & the standard of their behavior, measuring & fitting.
One Advisor is close to being charged with sexual harassment if he continues the way he's going.
I've bought this to the attention of 3 FSM's in the past & still nothing gets done.
Customers have phoned in & complained about the standards of some Advisors more than once ... but they are still here.
It has been bloody hard going each & every year whilst adding to this I've had each replacement FSM being worse than the previous one leaving me with no support.
On a positive note ... as I've said before ... I've found great support & encouragement from this site & it is having the knowledge that we are all having the same problems & that we are NOT alone.

Thanks Farmer - I was browsing through a posting in January where everybody was having a go, like we all do. Ross wrote about the recruitment of new advisors and with local papers which cover wide areas, so it might not concern you, but also said the FSM should also speak to you beforehand. Well this is certainly has not been the case with many advisors. Do these FSM's have any rules to adhere to. I would like Ross to find out where all new advisors have been posted in the last 6-12 months, and then ask the existing advisors (NOT THE FSM)in those areas if we were consulted in any way. It might be a surprise to you Ross, but if your FSM's can't be bothered with our input and how to sort things out, then we have a problem. My f.s.m. has let me know of the 2 latest recruits, for the 1st time ever. so cant grumble there. I cannot complain at he moment, but lets wait a couple of months when the 60-70 leads per week are being shared between 5 of us in this town.

Well Monday is normally my busiest day, so far next week I haven't one sales appointment in my diary. Where are all the leads, especially as we are in a 3 for 99 area for vens, verts and robs. I have obviously p***** someone off at HO by my e-mails last week. It's a conspirency, I say it's a conspirency.
Mind you I might write these e-mails, but apart from the reply from CLG on Friday, I haven't heard from my new FSM not even to give me her e-mail address or telephone, I don't even know if she is active yet, or my temp stand in.

If you are on good terms with a neighbour, go round and ask them to 'book' a call - listen in and see wat is said.
You never know when others are in your area !!!!
So far only 1 lead this week.........
