I have always found the best way is to only use the bracket and do away with the extension part. You can then screw the actual venetian bracket directly on to it with one screw. I have fitted loads like this and never had a problem. Red Do you attach bracket using one of the two screw holes therefore it being offset to UEB or do you use longer bolt and go through the centre hole ?? Doing away with extension bracket sounds a good idea as you have to put it under the UEB to get it to go back far enough. I've been using just the back bit for freehang pleats for ages.

Yes, I just use the one hole and offset the bracket. Just make sure you tighten the one screw really hard. Red

Basil , We do have alot to thank you for really. You might remember earlier last year when I first came across the yahoo group ( thanks Joy ), it was a breathe of fresh air to be able to share things with others in the same boat. I had been using forums like this one for a couple of years and was much more use to the format than a simple message board that dropped comments off as new ones were posted. Hence - this board was formed. Joy did a great job of getting the news out ( together with others I might add ) , and it's become a force. So, I'm glad to have you around- your background speaks for itself and I hope you find the forum as useful as others. Regards P. Basil??? Basil?? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Can't help thinking of Basil Faulty!!! ;D

Once I had sold that was it . I then spent 13 years in insurance. If you cannot handle a cordless drill/screwdriver you should not be doing what you are doing and constantly moaning. You lot do not not know that you are born. You pick the street and choose the odds or even numbers and lets see who gets the most leads. Put your action where your mouth is. ____________________________________________ You must be related to an FSM. Most advisors have had good reason to moan lately with what has been going on. You seem to be an expert at everything, but no advise on the pleated blind !!!!
