I have been asked if I want to do Shutters,,,,,, and thinking that Hillarys are going down the road as Specialist only advisor's and Non Specialist, I'm wondering how the rest of you are finding selling and fitting this product. Is it slow to fit? and sales ratio/ commission
Roof orders are not ten a penny as Awnings, unlike the rest of the range which is the bread and butter everyday stuff.

Just what is the point of having 800+ specialist advisors after they have all given up time and money to be trained will there be enough specialist type of calls to go around???
In my area there is 1 guy we shall call him golden balls who is flavour of the month he is shared by not 1 but 2 fsm's who obviously keep him well stocked with calls because its in their interest (bonus wise) to do so.
this is not sour grapes on my part because I have never wanted to be a specialist,not at my age sooner leave this to the younger ones.now i'm not knocking goldenballs good luck to him if this is what he wants to do,but how will he feel if after a short period of time the rest of the crew in this area all get themselves trained up and raring to go "special" like.he will see his special relationship starting to turn sour with more at it .
and we all know how fickle fsm's are don't we boys and girls.
from what dealings that i have had with the specialist department this last few years it don't fill me with confidence,still what at the moment at hillary's does.
I must say goldenballs is a nice lad could be an fsm one day ;D ;D

Its just come to me why they want more specialists?  they want more of you to be able to go on service calls for when they start warping and splitting just like the wooden venetians ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D |

Keenas Where did you get the figure 800+ specialists...........no-one would be extra special then would they!  Think you'll find the figure is much much less than that! K ;D |

I've got nothing to say here at the moment!
Have reduced my availability with this 'Shower' ... I now have other interests elsewhere that pays far better than I'm getting with Sillarys!!!!

Shutters in the early stages are not that time/cost effective as with any product .but after doing a few you will find the product is easy too sell very well made and on average I would say 1000.00pounds worth of shutters would take you about 2 hours too fit and as you get quicker more like 1 hour so yes they besides awnings are the best return per time. But in your early fits expect half a day per 1000.00 as a average .Looking at the wider picture expect your agency to stand still if you fail to take new products on !. |
