Yes, seems we are to have b/o romans at last !!!
Good news - cost is not over the top either.
Looking forward to adding them to the range.

In my post "New Roman Blind Range" in Sept last year I asked for black-out blinds and they are here now so I better start selling them. ;D
I only told a customer on Wednesday not to hold her breath as not due update roman range till end of year. Hope we don't mail her about our lovely black-out romans as she ordered 4 normal romans with blackout rollers behind them !!!!

Yes it is good news, especially at the last team meeting we were told there was a technical problem to overcome re stitching negating the black out fabric, and they were hopeful a solution would be reached shortly. But why oh why has this not been build into SAMs pricing before release. They must have known about an expected release date, even if we were informed it was on SAM but not yet available.
This is the second Roman improvement made without SAM being updated first. Joined up thinking at HO? All I need now is a lead, any lead. Oh sh1t, I have a fit on Tuesday where I sold bo rollers as we didn't do a bo Rom so ditto BW.

Problem with blackouts is that they are not available for all fabrics. Now, who do most parents want blackout blinds for? You guessed it, their kids. Which fabrics cannot have B/O lining? You guessed it, kids fabrics eg Slish Splash, Old Macdonald. Why?

Anyone know of a way of putting a blackout roman into Sam yet? Red Yes, Instructions say wait until next soft-ware update, meanwhile use the new paper order pads that were supposed to be sent out with the info pack, including paper price tables, except I didn't get the order forms. Another one of these product releases ahead of all the correct documentation. QA procedures? BSI/ISO would probably have a field day if the did a full audit.

Anyone know of a way of putting a blackout roman into Sam yet? Red Nope, it has to be on the new order forms they sent us. I find it amazing Hillarys still produce 3 part order forms. Top copy faxed in to HO and kept by advisor, second copy to customer, third copy in bin or backwards in my printer when I've run out of SMR copies to print on. I suggested this as a cost saving 2 years ago, obviously hasn't sunk in yet

No i didnt get the order pads either, so, I know we do them but can not find a way to order one. If I send a faxed copy of one of the old order forms with special instruction to make it a blackout and highlight the special instruction box, you can be sure as god made little green apples it will be ignored. I fitted 3 invisible roman blinds last week, brilliant, you can not see the stitching at all. The customer said they blended in so well she ordered 4 more. I ordered them on the invisible order pad we got with the invisible samples. You should have got some David, in an invisible envelope last month. ;D See you on Wednesday night.

I fitted 3 invisible roman blinds last .... Red Red if they are invisible, how did you manage to fit them, and how are they keeping the light out, or are you Royalty (aka The Kings New Clothes). Ohh how stupid of me you are, you are.

Ohh how stupid of me you are, you are. It was easy to fit. I used number 8 invisible screws. As for keeping the light out you only look at them at night time so no light comes in from outside. Easy peasy. Red

No none to date but in 11 years I think I have only been asked for them twice so not holding my breath for any impact. Most of my customers wont even pay for b/out rollers there a canny lot down here. Which part of UK are you in. MM
