No, it's strange I sent 4 emails addressed to agent.(agency number)hillarys.co.uk, some worked some didn't. I was hoping it might be the basis of ensuring only Hillarys people had access

Don't think so, but could be wrong as fairly ignorant on such matters. I noticed an email from h/o to me at agent.114059@hillarys.co.uk. It just came like any other email, I didn't do anything special. I've sucessfully emailed myself and russel like this, but the other 3 failed.

Is this simply an internal short code i.e so that someone in service support, central leads, diary maintenance, etc can just send an email by agency name but the mainframe computer then cross references and changes to the correct email address for transmission. Perhaps someone from IT can enlighten us ?

Perhaps I'm being too simplistic with this, it just seemed if all advisors and staff had a Hillarys email address, and all authentification codes or passwords were mailed through them, it would stop outsiders and bogus address users getting in.

Some advisors don't have emails set up on the system and some have an email address like agent .number@hillarys.co.uk that will default to a fax instead. Maybe the email address isn't up to date or the agent.number address is connected to a different email account?
